The ECDL Qualification
The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) is an internationally recognised computer skills certification programme, spanning some sixty countries. It's become an industry standard that every office worker can achieve and benefit from.
Basic ECDL has seven Modules:
- Basic Concepts of IT
- Using a Computer and Managing Files
- Word Processing
- Spreadsheets
- Databases
- Presentations
- Information and Communication
Further detail on each Module can be found below.
Once you're confident with the subjects covered, you can take the ECDL exams at one of thousands of approved and licensed test centers world-wide (our premises at Aldgate are one).
When a candidate registers to start ECDL they receive a 'passport' on which the progress through the seven tests is recorded. When all seven modules are completed, they've passed!
ECDL Advanced
If you've already passed ECDL, the Foundation offers four extra Modules called ECDL Advanced, which test your knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheets, presentations and databases at a higher level.
